HSC Exam 2026: Board Releases List of Approved Scientific Calculators, Watch
The Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has issued new instructions on the use of calculators and wristwatches for HSC examinees.
In a notice released on Wednesday, the board said students will be allowed to use general calculators and eight approved models of scientific non-programmable calculators during the upcoming HSC examinations.
The approved scientific calculator models are FX-82MS, FX-100MS, FX-570MS, FX-991MS, FX-991ES, FX-991EX, FX-991ES Plus, and FX-991CW.
Students may also use non-programmable analog wristwatches with hands. Digital or programmable devices remain outside the approved list.
This year’s HSC examinations will begin on July 2 and continue until August 8. Practical examinations must be completed by August 15.
According to the published schedule, the Bangla First Paper (Compulsory) examination will be held on the opening day. On the final day, August 8, students will sit for the Finance, Banking, and Insurance Second Paper and the Child Development Second Paper.
The board said first-shift examinations will run from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Second-shift examinations will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Examinees have been instructed to take their seats in the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the start of each examination.
The new instructions are intended to clarify which devices students may bring into examination halls during this year’s HSC examinations.
